World Grievance Day of Mourning – Silent Vigil

From: 27/03/2022 1:00 pm To: 3:00 pm
An opportunity for people of good will to bear witness and step back from the brink of nuclear destruction in solidarity with the suffering of all people in Ukraine. Join us at Tom’s Block immediately opposite the National Gallery at 1pm Sunday 27 March.

The aim would be to highlight the 11th hour for a world on the brink of nuclear destruction. It is a silent vigil in recognition of Ukraine’s suffering and the potential destruction hanging over the planet.

The invitation would be broadcast and promoted through social and mainstream media inviting all people concerned at the plight of Ukraine in the light of Putin and Russia’s atrocities to stand for peace in solidarity with our local Ukrainian community.

The gathering would hear directly from Stefan Romaniw, Chair of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations who has recently returned from the conflict, as well as local community leaders on the significance of the conflict to all of us.
